Chirsta Smith is finally back at ADC! Chirsta was one of our original members to our adult classes enjoying the passion for dance and reigniting that fire for the art. Originally from California, she moved to Tyler when she was only 5. Christa grew up dancing competitively before moving to Portland Oregon, where she studied at Portland Community College being part of the PTK Honor Society working towards a Bachelors in Health Science. Christa brings unique ideas and experiences to the table. She worked for NIKE World Headquarters as a fitness instructor for 4 years where she was under the athletic director helping to develop a Barre program for the NIKE Health Center. Christa is trained in mat pilates; certified in Barre and Yoga, allowing her to bring a wealth of body knowledge, fitness, and safety to our dancers. Chirsta worked as a nanny for several years as well as volunteering in the children’s ministry at church. She is currently the assistant coach for the UT Tyler spirit squad where she has been choreographing for their dance and cheer team. Miss Christa’s love for people and her passion for health and dance motivate her each day to transform not only her life, but the lives around her. ADC is thrilled to have Miss Christa join our team and help all our students achieve their dreams.
