“So…my daughter got a tattoo on her foot. It says “He leads me to dance”  I asked her why and she said “in 6th grade I was chubby, shy, insecure and dreading middle school.  Then I went to ADC and Bonnie changed all that.  I know God lead me to her because she changed how I saw myself. She changed my life.”- C. Lane

“I have been dancing now for 15 years and have attended eight different dance studios, however in the time that I have spent in the dance community I have never found a more welcoming and encouraging group of people. While I have only been attending ADC for a short time, Bonnie Hotman-Pehl has afforded me the opportunity to grow as a person and dancer. The studio itself has one of the strongest senses of family I have ever encountered. This love, and healthy sense of competition, drives the dancers of ADC to become the best they can be as people and artists.” – J. Allen

“Artistic Dance Concepts is a place where potential and possibility are realized. Without ADC, I would not be where I am today, graduating with a BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University. My life has been utterly shaped and blessed by Artistic Dance Concepts. I give this studio my highest recommendation for anyone wanting to study the art of dance.” – C. Harris

“We were welcomed right into the ADC family and my girl has been inspired to accomplish beyond what we’d have imagined from her untapped potential.  This is no “assembly line” or “cookie cutter” studio; each dancer is encouraged as a unique individual.” –M. Curtis

“ADC is like a second home to me.  I love it!” – C. Collins

“Bonnie,

When I first watched the videos from ADC I knew I wanted to be a part of the ADC family 🙂 ever since I’ve been there 3 yrs ago you have opened up so many doors! You have given me such awesome inspiration, not to only be the best dancer I can be but the best person I can be! You really are such an amazing artist, and great person I’m very thankful to have you as my teacher.” – C. Moore

“Bonnie,

I want you to know you’re an inspiration to me. You have touched me in so many ways and made a big impact on my life. You make me not only want to dance, but love to dance and to be a better dancer. God has blessed you with an amazing talent and I thank you for sharing a part of you with me. You are a wonderful teacher and friend to me.  Please know that I truly believe in ADC and the many blessings that happen there every day. You are great!” – H. Davis

“As the mom of a daughter who came relatively “late” to dance, I’ve been so gratified by how much she has learned and how quickly she has progressed at ADC under Bonnie and Angela’s expert direction.  We were welcomed right into the ADC family and my girl has been inspired to accomplish beyond what we’d have imagined from her untapped potential.  Being an ADC Dancer has been such a blessing in her life, ever increasing her poise and confidence at school.  This is no “assembly line” or “cookie cutter” studio. Each dancer is encouraged as a unique individual.  We are blessed to have found Artistic Dance Concepts.” – M. Curtis

“I have been involved in dance since I was 2 years old. From studios to drill team to a junior college dance team, I have never experienced dance the way I did when I started taking at ADC. I had the pleasure of teaching at ADC for a while but it was when I started dancing with Bonnie that I truly experienced dance in the way it is supposed to be. Bonnie encourages you to dance from your heart. Its not about precision and technique, but about dancing from the inside out. I am truly grateful that I have the opportunity to dance at ADC!” – E.Godsey

“Even at a young age, it was apparent to me that dancing for Bonnie would change my life.  She replaced the structured jazz dances of my younger years with moving, artistic pieces that often reflected commentary on social issues.  She taught me the importance of believing in myself because dancers are judged on a purely subjective basis.  The lessons I learned through dancing supplied me with confidence that spilled over into all of my life and, ironically, my intense focus on dance broadened my perspective, influencing my success in academics, public speaking and student government.  I have learned that the biggest gift an inspirational leader like Bonnie can give is the challenge to be better! “– A. McMann

“Bonnie,

I wanted to pass on compliments from this weekend. More than one mom talked about how much they appreciate your focus on developing our girls dancing technique AND character all while having fun. Thank you for working so hard to instill both. I noticed that my daughter’s perseverance has really increased. She didn’t become frustrated when some of the choreography was challenging; she kept working at it! And enjoyed it! So thanks again.” – R.Cox

“Artistic Dance Concepts has been a fundamental, pivotal part of my life. It is a place where I was continually challenged to reach further as a dancer, an intellectual, and a person. ADC is also a home; I was welcomed, valued, and included. The support and respect that I experienced during my three years of dance at ADC made me feel like a part of something truly special – a community. I knew from day one that the relationships I formed at ADC would undoubtedly last beyond my years at the studio. ADC provides a comprehensive approach to dance technique training. With classes available in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and improvisation, as well as the different styles within these areas of study, the ADC dancer is given the opportunity to train his/her body to move with a myriad of movement qualities. In addition to offering “staple” classical training, ADC instructors hold and value an awareness of the ever-changing styles and trends in dance today and seek to provide students with new dance concepts. Other special training opportunities such as master classes and conventions supplement and enhance the instruction given during weekly classes. Additionally, dancers seeking to further immerse themselves in their dance studies have the opportunity to audition for ADC’s performance companies. The experiences gleaned from being in an ADC company are invaluable to individual training as well as learning to work and perform with a group. The broad base of movement and stylistic knowledge as well as the performance and company experiences offered at ADC provide an excellent foundation for continued study, performance, and critique of dance beyond high school. Training at ADC also fundamentally fosters in all of its students an appreciation for the art form that will carry beyond the studio walls. It is highly appropriate that “artistic” is part of the studio’s name. ADC cultivates an artistic atmosphere where performance command, emotional intelligence, and point of view are both characteristic and essential to dance. The individual artistry that students develop at ADC sets them apart from other dancers in East Texas. Dance education at ADC is not treated as a mere after school activity. The mission of the studio is to offer the best dance education possible, both on a technical and artistic basis. ADC provides its students with the raw tools to pursue professional work, if this is a desired end.
I will always have a great sense of devotion to both the people and the ideology of Artistic Dance Concepts. I believe in what the studio offers its students and what it is doing for dance awareness and appreciation in East Texas and beyond. Artistic Dance Concepts is a place where potential and possibility are realized. Without ADC, I would not be where I am today, graduating with a BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University. My life has been utterly shaped and blessed by Artistic Dance Concepts. I give this studio my highest recommendation for anyone wanting to study the art of dance.”  – C.Harris

“I went to “bring a friend week” at ADC with a friend when I was a sophomore in high school. It was a ballet class and I had never done ballet in my life. Bonnie stole my heart the minute her class began. She was trying really hard not to insult my not-so-good technique, but she didn’t have to say anything for me to know it was terrible. After taking that one class I wanted more but not really in the area of ballet. I learned of the hip-hop class and absolutely fell in love with that style dance. She was the first dance teacher to bring real hip-hop to Tyler, and I am so thankful she did! However, I must add that I took her lyrical class at the same time and even though I didn’t have any confidence in myself, Bonnie believed in me. She encouraged me to keep at it and complimented all the little improvements she saw to the point that I gained enough confidence to later dance on a lyrical dance team in college. It has been right at 7 years since I took my first class at ADC and I can say without a doubt that it is because of this amazing place and these amazing people that I have continued with dance and am now a hip-hop dancer, choreographer, and teacher. Bonnie brings a family element to her studio. Once a part of the family, always a part of it. I know that when I am in Tyler visiting I am always welcome at ADC. Better yet, I know I’ll get in trouble if I don’t come by. I am about to begin the post-college chapter of my life and that involves an internship that I have to raise support in order to begin. Even now, after all of these years, Bonnie has opened up her studio to host a master class for me and all of the proceeds will go to my fundraising. She is the most fun, loving, open-minded, & BRILLIANT person I know. Her studio and her as a person have impacted me in a way that she will never fully understand. I am BLESSED to have gotten the opportunity to dance at ADC and I can confidently say that my time spent there changed the course of my life in the best way possible.”-A. Watson
